On Semantic Social Networking

While discussing this, I hit this gem.
Social networking is more than likely going to be the launch pad for the Semantic Data Web. A web where we cost-effectively discover and participate in conversations emanating from the “Objects of our Sociality” (our values, literally). Look at the size of this discussion forum for instance, the Object of our Sociality is our common desire for “Open Social Networking”.
Three years ago, we were crying for structured, semantically-meaningful, standards-based Web design. Now it’s time to do the same for data.
